English to Hindi dictionary

Universal Word - Hindi dictionary is being made at CFILT, IIT Bombay for the purpose of Machine Translation. The user can search the Hindi and English words and phrases. This lexicon also provides the grammatical, morphological and semantic attributes of the Hindi words. This version contains 136090 words. 
Note: The English sentences and glosses used are borrowed mostly from online dictionaries such as Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary and English WordNet

This dictionary uses unicode encoding to display Hindi text. To view it properly you should have unicode enabled operating system such as windows XP or Linux system (Unicode enabled, distributions after 20003). If Unicode support is not available then you can not see Hindi text from the website.
